Community Counseling
Clinical Coursework for Professional Counseling Licensure (LIC.ECC)

The LIC.ECC program is designed for individuals seeking to meet the educational requirements for the Professional Counselor (PC) and/or Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC) license in Ohio. These requirements are regulated by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage and Family Therapist (OCSWMFT) Board and can be reviewed at their website: http://www.cswmft.ohio.gov.

You can apply to the LIC.ECC program online. If you currently have a masters degree in School Counseling, Social Agency Counseling, or Community Counseling from the University of Dayton, your transcript will be reviewed and you will receive a list of the courses needed to meet the state requirements.

If your masters degree in counseling is from a program other than the University of Dayton, you will need to complete the Course Worksheet form provided by the board. Download the Course Worksheet at http://cswmft.ohio.gov/pdfs/CnsCrsWk.pdf. You will be contacted by a UD faculty member to schedule an advising meeting to determine the courses you will need to meet the state requirements.
