Off Campus Access to UD Services

Access Student Username and Password (address.udayton.edu)
-Required to access many UD and Library services*.

Important Notes about using this page:

  • Since you don't know your password, you will need to reset it.
  • Click on "Reset Password" on the left and fill in the required fields.
  • Note that the address line is picky. First, try leaving out ending items such as "Street" or "St." or "Ave." etc. If you fail to gain access, try including "Street" or "St." etc. until you succeed. If all else fails, call the computer help desk at 937.229.3888. If your information is incorrect with the university, you will need to contact the registrar's office at 937.229.4141.
  • The birthdate line must be filled out in the fashion shown.
  • If you get a server error, try again. The system can be slow and picky.
  • Once you succeed, you will be given your username and password. You MUST click the button which says "Change Them" to finalize the process. If you do not, your username and password will not work.
  • Note that it can take up to twelve hours for the change to become active in UD's systems.

Library Services
-Your link to database access, including books and journal articles.

Important Notes about using the library site:

  • *Your Student Username and Password will access most of the Library's services. Some services, such as Ohio Link, will require you to know your Student ID Number. This number cannot be obtained with the method above. This number is found on your mailed schedule each semester and with your bursar bill. This is a 7-digit number.
  • For access to the journal database, click the "databases" link on the left. Chose your database and begin your search. Oftentimes, you can obtain an online version of the article you are looking for. If an online version is not available, continue with the next steps.
  • Go back to the Library home page and click "Library Services" then "For Students" (also seen as "Services for Students" depending on how you clicked.)
  • Click on eLearning "Services for students."
  • Read the text and click on "Obtaining articles and books".
