OVERVIEW
The format of the courses included in the Master's Degree
Program is designed to provide pertinent knowledge and simulated
"on the job" experiences that will help the student be better
prepared to fulfill the role of school principal. Advances
in electronic media will likely increase the foreseeable future
and the school principal must be knowledgeable about using such
technology. The format of courses engages the student in
electronic communication and research, thus immersing the
student in learning experiences that are applicable to the

Each course has three parts:
10 Modules:
All modular assignments are completed via the Internet.
Each module consists of resources, topics, and assignments:

Resources include readings, web sites, and Power Point
presentations.

Topics relate to the course conceptual model.

Assignments include "threaded discussions" with classmates and
"written responses to the instructor".

Student responses to the "threaded discussions" and "written
responses to the instructor" will be graded on the quality and
quantity of thought with lesser emphasis on mechanics of writing
than in the term assignments; however, contributions need to be
representative of a person in a leadership role.

All discussions/communications must be completed before the last
day of class.
SAMPLE MODULE
A Position Paper:

The Position Paper is submitted directly to the instructor
via the Internet.

The Position Paper is a traditional graduate level paper of
five to seven pages in length.

The Position Paper will be graded both on content and
mechanics of writing.
An Online Seminar.
