Director of Accreditation: Pamela Cross Young, Ph.D.

Pam Young joined the University of Dayton in a fulltime capacity during the summer of 2005.  She has more than thirty years as an educator, most recently as an Associate Superintendent for the Ohio Department of Education.  She has also served as a building administrator, central office administrator, teacher, and university graduate level adjunct instructor.  A 1992 Milken National Educator Awardee, Pam’s varied community/educational service and leadership efforts include C.A.P.E. (Camp Attracting Prospective Educators) and the Catholic Central School Board of Trustees (Springfield).  She holds a B.S. Ed. from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio (1974); an M.Ed. from Mansfield State University, Mansfield, Pennsylvania (1977); and a Ph.D. from the University of Dayton (2002).
