The Bombeck Family Learning Center is a quality early childhood education program that promotes "best practices" in early childhood education. The center operates in conjunction with the University's School of Education, Early Childhood Education Department. In addition to providing quality programs for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, the center serves as a demonstration school for university students and others studying early childhood education.
At  Bombeck Family Learning Center you will find a staff of well trained, dedicated early childhood professions who are prepared to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that facilitates your child's intellectual, physical and social/emotional development while encouraging creativity, curiosity and imagination. Our staff members are trained to provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum that emerges from your child's interests and needs.
Low ratios of staff to children allows for the best quality to care throughout the center. Individualized care for infants from six weeks to eighteen months focuses on the building of trust and security. The toddlers program works to establish autonomy, allowing the children the freedom to explore and develop newly learned skills.
The preschool program follows an emergent curriculum model. In conjunction with the Ohio Curriculum Models for language arts, science, social studies, math, art, music, movement and foreign language. The teachers seek to make use of the Child's natural desire to gain knowledge and their large capacity for curiosity and amazement.
Parents are encouraged to visit our facility, make use of our observation rooms and participate in parent's Organization.
Center enrollment is prioritized offering enrollment first to University Faculty, staff and student. Community Children are also welcome.
