Catholic Education: A Journal of Inquiry and Practice
began as a joint effort of four universities -- Fordham University,
Saint Louis University, the University of Dayton, and the University
of San Francisco -- with the support of a grant from the Lilly Foundation.
Catholic Education came into existence in 1997, taking
its place as the only scholarly journal dedicated exclusively to research
on Catholic educational concerns.
Now in our fourth year of publication, the founding institutions are
delighted in the ongoing growth of the journal and commit anew to its
mission and purpose. As the interest in Catholic educational research
expands, so too does the journal. In an effort to invite other interested
educational institutions, organizations, and benefactors into this important
work, the journal is welcoming sponsors to join in support of its publication.
